Cat-Lax is a palatable paste used as a laxative in cats. It can be given orally or smeared on the cat’s paw for ingestion via grooming.
Palatable paste containing white soft paraffin (31.1g), beeswax yellow (2.1g), malt syrup, lecithin, cod liver oil, caramel and biotin.
Cat-Lax provides a laxative effect from a combination of soft white paraffin (a lubricant), cod liver oil (a laxative) and lecithin (an antioxidant that increases intestinal absorption).
Cat-Lax can help remove and prevent hairballs in cats. Hairballs are made of coat hairs that have been ingested during grooming. Over time, these hairs accumulate and can cause partial or complete obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dosage and Administration
Can be given orally or a small amount placed on a paw:
For hairball prevention: 2-3 times per week
For hairball removal: once daily
